Tournament is a game mode available for a limited time. Here you can compete with players from all over the World to win HUGE prizes and acquire unique Tournament banners visible to all.
It's available through the Events button on the main screen.
Tournament matches take place on a special themed Alley which is unique to the Tournament.
You can join a Tournament only during its Qualifier Stage. There are three stages in total.
You can enter the Tournament by paying an Entry Fee. It can be paid using chips or an in-app purchase (you can choose).
You pay the Entry Fee once for a Tournament. All matches within this Tournament will be free.
Note that registration closes 6 hours before the end of Tournament games. You cannot use real money to join a tournament if the Qualifier stage ends in less than 6 hours. From that point, you can join the tournament using chips only if there is a place in the last division. We recommend entering tournaments long before the Qualifier stage ends.
Pin Layout sets are unique for every Tournament. You can see them on the Bracket selector screen on the Rules tab.
To start a match in the Tournament, hit the Play button in the Tournament window. It will be available only after you pay the Entry Fee and get access to the Tournament.
Tournament brackets
Tournaments have four Brackets:
- Rookie
- Pro
- All-Star
- Superstar
To change the Bracket, swipe to the side on the Bracket Selector screen.
Each Bracket has restrictions on joining for a fair game.
- You need to reach Alley from 4 to 6 to enter the Rookie Bracket.
- You need to reach Alley from 7 to 9 to enter the Pro Bracket.
- You need to reach Alley from 10 to 12 to enter the All-Star Bracket.
- You need to reach Alley from 13 to 18 to enter the Superstar Bracket.
Note that the entry fee varies as well:
- 150,000 chips to enter a match in the Rookie Bracket;
- 15,000,000 chips to enter a match in the Pro Bracket;
- 375,000,000 chips to enter a match in the All-Star Bracket;
- 1,500,000,000 chips to enter a match in the Superstar Bracket.
The higher the Bracket, the better the prizes. Superstar Bracket has the highest Entry Fee. Superstar Bracket has purple banners.
Tournament stages
Each Tournament has three Stages: Qualifier, Semifinal, and Final.
Every Stage is limited in time. Also, there is a limited number of matches one can play within a Stage. Tournament participants can enter any number of matches within the given limit, but one should take part in all of them to get the best chances for victory.
- Players can join a Tournament only during the Qualifier Stage. It has no rewards. Get into the promotion zone to proceed to the next stage.
- Semifinal Stage has banners as a reward. Get into the promotion zone to proceed to the next stage.
- Final Stage has banners and ball cards as rewards. The Top 3 players also get gold.
To check the Stage duration, go to the Stages tab of the Tournament window.
You can see your position in the Tournament Rating in the first tab of the Tournament Window. This tab will have the name of your Tournament Bracket. It will also show how many matches you've played, how many of them are available, and what is your current score.
For example, on the screenshot below, 'Bowler' played 10 matches of the Semifinal Stage, All-Star Bracket, and 10 matches are available in total during the Semifinal Stage. Their current score is 900 (having scored 90 points during every match).
When all matches within the Stage are played, you'll have to wait for the Stage to end and check the results. If you got into the Promotion zone of the Qualifier or Semifinal stage, you will proceed to the next Stage. Otherwise, you can't proceed to the next Tournament stages.
Tournament score
Scores in matches within the Tournament are being counted towards your Tournament ranking points. The more points you score in matches, the higher your place is in the rankings.
You will get additional points to your score in case of winning the Tournament match.
Rewards
Rookie Bracket has green banners. Pro Bracket has blue banners. All-Star Bracket has violet banners. Superstar Bracket has purple banners.
Rewards for the Final and Semifinal stages are listed in the Rewards tab of the Tournament window. Scroll down to see the full list.
Tournament restart
You can restart the Tournament only during the Qualifier Stage.
If you've restarted the Tournament, the place you've taken in that division stays behind you: your nickname and avatar will be shown as if you're still participating there. But that doesn't affect you in any way, and you will get a fresh start in another division.
